El diseño ofrece salidas profesionales para la Generación Z al margen de la Selectividad.
El IED Madrid lanza un cuestionario orientativo que va más allá de las notas, los tópicos o las decisiones convencionales.
Madrid, 07 de julio de 2025 – Coincidiendo con la semana de la prueba extraordinaria de Selectividad, miles de jóvenes en toda España se enfrentan a una de las decisiones más relevantes de su trayectoria: qué estudiar y hacia dónde orientar su futuro profesional. Sin embargo, este momento también pone de manifiesto una realidad cada vez más presente: no todos encuentran en la universidad tradicional una respuesta acorde a sus intereses, talentos o formas de aprender.
En los últimos años, el concepto de formación superior ha evolucionado, dando paso a alternativas que priorizan la creatividad, la práctica y la conexión con las inquietudes personales. Una de las corrientes que ha ganado fuerza es la educación vinculada al diseño y las industrias creativas, un sector que no solo genera empleo cualificado, sino que responde a los retos contemporáneos desde la innovación y el pensamiento crítico.
Además, el panorama laboral también está evolucionando. El 42 % de las ofertas de empleo en España requieren titulados de Formación Profesional*, superando por primera vez a las ofertas dirigidas a titulados universitarios. Esta transformación del mercado exige adaptar los modelos formativos a nuevas competencias, más transversales y aplicadas.
En este contexto, surge una propuesta que busca acompañar a los jóvenes en la exploración de su vocación. Bajo el título “¿Qué diseñador/a eres?”, se trata de una experiencia interactiva impulsada por el IED Madrid que ofrece un enfoque distinto para quienes no se sienten identificados con los modelos académicos convencionales. Un test vocacional online, accesible que permite identificar intereses personales y áreas afines dentro del diseño: gráfico, moda, interiores, producto o audiovisual, entre otros.
Más allá del resultado, la iniciativa plantea una pregunta de fondo con una mirada más humana y abierta: ¿Qué quieres ser? No tanto desde una lógica académica, sino desde el reconocimiento de las fortalezas individuales, las pasiones y el deseo de construir un camino con propósito.
“Sabemos que no todos los jóvenes se ven reflejados en los itinerarios clásicos. Esta iniciativa busca conectar con aquellos que piensan con imágenes, sienten a través de formas y sueñan con dejar huella desde la creatividad. Y busca abrir un diálogo con quienes necesitan otros lenguajes para descubrir su camino, reforzando el valor de una educación que parte del propósito personal”, señala Beatriz Amann, directora académica del IED Madrid.
Elegir una carrera no debería reducirse a una cuestión de acceso o de nota de corte, sino de vocación. Quienes tienen una inclinación natural hacia el diseño, la comunicación visual o la creatividad aplicada, encuentran más sentido en entornos formativos donde puedan cultivar esa sensibilidad desde el primer día. Reconocer esa diversidad de caminos es fundamental para construir un modelo educativo más inclusivo y alineado con las capacidades reales de cada estudiante.
En definitiva, en tiempos donde elegir carrera parece más urgente que nunca, también es clave repensar el sentido de esa elección. Apostar por una formación conectada con la identidad y el talento propio puede marcar la diferencia entre estudiar por inercia o construir un futuro con sentido.
